When very good isn’t good enough: the Astrograph for advanced users
An astrograph for anyone who wants to work with precision. The Pro Carbon combines a 3" focuser with 50mm of travel, a sturdy carbon fibre tube, an ultra-light quartz mirror and CNC-machined aluminium tube clamps.
This means: precise focus, consistent image quality and mechanical stability combined with low weight, even during long exposure times. For astrophotographers who value reliable technology.
Advantages at a glance
- Precise 3" R&P focuser with 50 mm travel: For pinpoint focusing, so you can keep every detail in focus. Even with long focal lengths and heavy camera setups.
- Ultra-light quartz primary mirrors – the low mass ensures rapid cooling with minimal weight
- Carbon tube with extremely low thermal expansion: Ensures a stable focus position and temperature compensation.
- M56 threaded mount for your camera: Provides a play-free and secure connection.
- CNC-machined tube clamps and prism rail: Guarantee maximum stability with minimal flex. Your setup remains precisely aligned even during long exposure sequences.
- Compact design with optimised balance: Also suitable for smaller mounts and allows for quick assembly. Ideal for mobile applications.
- Minimal weight with maximum rigidity: 7kg lighter than the steel version – a difference your back will appreciate, as will your mount.
- Ideal for experienced astrophotographers who demand exceptional performance.
Pro Carbon Astrograph 250/1000
For those who want more. The largest Astrograph delivers high detail, even with small and faint objects. The ideal choice for ambitious astrophotographers focusing on fine structures and image depth.
Precise focuser for exact adjustment
The 3" rack-and-pinion focuser with a 50 mm travel range operates smoothly and supports even heavy equipment securely. The fine mechanics of the rack allow the focus to be adjusted with pinpoint accuracy. The integrated M56 connection also ensures a stable, precisely centred camera mount without any adapter play.
The focuser is compatible with the Omegon Pro Focus Motor Estia, ZWO Electronic Automatic Focuser EAF N and iOptron Electronic Automatic Focuser iEAF focus motors without the need for other adapters.
Stable focus even with temperature fluctuations
The carbon fibre tube minimises thermal expansion, even with significant temperature changes during the night. This keeps the focus position constant, so you don’t need to readjust. This is a crucial advantage for consistently sharp images, particularly during long exposures or automated image sequences.
Primary mirrors with highly reflective coating
Every percentage point counts! With a reflectivity of an impressive 94%, the light output is significantly higher than that of standard telescope mirrors. This means that even a few percentage points more light make a crucial difference during long exposures and can determine the imaging of faint deep-sky objects.
CNC technology for maximum rigidity
The tube clamps and prism rail are fully CNC-machined. The result: a stable hold, even with longer telescope focal lengths and heavy accessories. This keeps your field of view precisely in place. A real bonus for long exposures and mosaic images.
Compact design, big impact
Despite its robust construction, the Pro Carbon Astrograph remains compact and portable. The short design reduces the load on the mount, improves balance and saves space during transport. Whether for mobile use or as a permanently installed system: this telescope integrates flexibly into your equipment.
