The basis for ambitious astronomers: the astrograph for specialists
The larger the aperture ratio, the shorter the exposure times in astrophotography. At the same time, the demands on the skill and technology of the telescope also increase. The 150/500 Astrograph from Omegon offers a stable basis for extremely deep images.
An astrograph for anyone who wants to work with precision. The Pro Carbon combines a 2" focuser with 50 mm of travel, a stable carbon tube and milled tube clamps made of CNC aluminium.
This means: precise focus, consistent imaging and mechanical stability, even with long exposure times. For astrophotographers who value reliable technology.
Advantages at a glance
- Precise V2 2" R&P focusers with linear bearings and 50 mm adjustment range: for pinpoint focusing, so you can keep every detail in focus. Even with long focal lengths and heavy camera setups.
- Carbon tube with extremely low expansion: Ensures stable focus and temperature compensation.
- M56 threaded connection for your camera: Provides a play-free and secure connection.
- CNC-milled tube clamps and prism rail: Guarantee maximum stability with minimal flex. Your setup remains precisely aligned even during long exposure series.
- Compact design with optimised balance: Also suitable for smaller mounts and enables quick setup. Ideal for mobile applications.
Precise focuser for exact adjustment
The 2" Rack & Pinion eyepiece extension with 50 mm of adjustment works without backlash and securely supports heavy equipment. The fine mechanics of the rack and pinion allow the focus to be set with pinpoint accuracy. The integrated M56 connection also ensures a stable, precisely centered camera mounting without adapter play.
Stable focus even with temperature fluctuations
The carbon fiber tube minimizes longitudinal expansion, even with significant temperature changes during the night. This keeps the focus constant, and you don't have to readjust. Especially with long exposures or automated shooting sequences, this is a crucial advantage for consistently sharp images.
Main mirror with highly reflective coating
Every percentage counts! With a reflectivity of 94%, the light yield is significantly higher than that of normal telescope mirrors. This means: Even a few percent more light makes a decisive difference in long exposures and can determine the imaging of faint deep-sky objects.
CNC technology for maximum rigidity (203 and 154 only)
Tube clamps and prism rail are completely CNC-machined. The result: a stable hold, even with longer telescope focal lengths and heavy accessory weight. This keeps your image section exactly in place. A real plus for long exposures and mosaic images.
Compact design, big impact
Despite its robust construction, the Pro Carbon Astrograph remains compact and portable. The short design relieves the mount, improves balance, and saves space during transport. Whether in mobile use or as a permanently installed system: This telescope integrates flexibly into your equipment.
