More beautiful astrophotographs that will allow you to rediscover the sky
What is it that drives astrophotographers time and time again? It is the fascination of capturing the sky in its most beautiful colours and shapes. This Doublet Apochromat makes it possible. The high-quality ED glass and colour-pure imaging lead to enjoyable observations with fine details that would not be possible with simple optics. Rediscover the sky.
The advantages at a glance:
- 72mm Doublet ED apochromat: for fantastically clear and colour-pure observations and astrophotography.
- 2" gear focuser with 1:10 reduction, 360° rotatable: this focuser can hold accessories weighing up to 3 kg and still offers precise and feather-light focusing.
- Huge field of view for breathtaking wide-angle shots
- With CNC tube clamps, prism rail and finder shoe
Why this Doublet optics shows more details
No more contrastless images. The Doublet Apochromat shows what is really possible: colour-pure and high-contrast observations and astrophotography. The reason is a sophisticated two-lens design with premium OHARA FPL-53 glass for a crystal-clear image. Compared to most mirror systems, the better-defined optics allow you to see more and finer details when observing planets, for example. The lens elements have been coated on all surfaces with an effective multi-coating to prevent reflections. Look forward to observations and photographs that will remain in your memory.
2" rack and pinion focuser with ball bearings
The 2" gear focuser is almost a real space miracle, because it is large enough to prevent any shadowing. An ingenious hybrid technology combining Crayford and gear wheel makes it particularly robust and suitable for accessories weighing up to 3 kg. In addition, the ball bearings allow for silky smooth focusing, so you can easily find the perfect focus. A 1:10 reduction ratio for the finest corrections rounds off this focuser. It is precisely these features that astrophotographers around the world appreciate.
360° rotation for framing the perfect photo.
You found the object and focused on it, but with the wrong orientation? Save yourself the trouble of having to start over again at night to align an elongated object with the sensor. This is easy to do in seconds thanks to the 360° rotating focuser.
CNC tube designed for the best optics
The tube of the Omegon Apo consists of a CNC-machined metal construction with a sophisticated anti-reflective aperture system. The entire tube is lined with a velvet-like, black fabric.
