Turn finder into guidescopes
This adaptors turns your 50mm finder scope into an autoguiding tube in no time at all. Simply screw the eyepiece out of the tube and insert this adaptors instead.
Suitable for most 8x50 and 9x50 finders from Omegon, Skywatcher, TS Optics, Orion USA and older Celestron 50 mm finders.
Focusing is done directly via the knurled ring on the objective of the finder.
The adaptors are available in two versions, depending on what you want to connect:
- The version with c-mount thread is useful for directly screwing on a guiding camera such as the Omegon Camera GUIDE 1200 M Mono - i.e. if the finder eyepiece is only needed very rarely. This must also be done with a straight finder in order to obtain a sharp image.
- The variant with T2 thread only allows cameras with a very small back focus to be focussed on the straight finder. However, you can combine this adaptors with other parts on a finder with an angled view , as these finders have more back focus when the angled view is unscrewed. For example, you can add a eyepiece clamp, a rotary focuser and/or extension tubes and then switch between a guiding camera and reticle eyepieces.
Treat your finder to this upgrade!
