The power of the golden ring - premium mirror star diagonal with Twist-Lock system for a strong yet gentle grip

Safely attach your accessories! The Omegon 2" or 2" SC Twist-Lock star diagonal (depending on the model) attaches eyepieces, cameras and adapters as if they were welded to the telescope. One quick twist is enough, and your eyepiece is firmly but gently both attached and centred.

Change accessories with a single twist

It has never been easier! You can now change your accessories in the blink of an eye, and even in darkness, with a certainty that was never possible with mirror star diagonals attached via a clamping screw. Insert your eyepiece into the star diagonal, twist the fluted golden ring - and already the eyepiece sits there, rock solid.

Nothing slips or wobbles here - not even by a millimetre! The big advantage - gentle clamping and precisely centred accessories.

How is it different to other mirror star diagonals?

In a standard mirror star diagonal, a clamping screw is used to fix the accessory in place. But if screwed too tight it can leav an ugly scar on the eyepiece barrel. And who wants that, when they have spent a several hundred euros on their eyepiece or camera? Your accessories will always keep their value when used with this mirror star diagonal.

Dielectric mirror - for a bright, high-contrast image

The Omegon mirror star diagonal offers you a particularly bright and high-contrast image. This is achieved by multiple vapour-deposited dielectric layers, which are very tough and hence extremely durable. The star diagonal's mirror is hence able to achieve a reflectance of 99%. Observers prefer as much light as possible - this mirror offers a much brighter image than a normal mirror with an aluminium coating.

The advantages of an SC thread

The mirror star diagonal's built-in SC thread saves you needing another adapter. This direct adapter lets the mirror sit closer to the OTA and allows you to swivel the OTA of a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope on an azimuthal fork right through the zenith. Other mirror star diagonals may have clearance problems, especially with 8" SC telescopes.
