The best view of the night sky is available in places far away from artificial light. However, there are no power sockets there. Despite this, you don't need to go without the comfort of a GoTo mount! With the Omegon powerbank you can power your telescope mount all night long.
A LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery is installed in the Pro Powerbank. LiFePO4 has clear advantages over regular lithium-ion batteries and outdated lead batteries!
In comparison to outdated lead-acid batteries, this powerbank is small, lightweight and fits in any accessory bag.
Four small LEDs display the powerbank's current charge level. You can easily charge it using the provided mains adapter.
The integrated short-circuit, overcharging, total discharge and overload protection not only protects the powerbank itself, but also protects the connected mount.
All mounts with a cigarette lighter cable can be connected.
The advantages at a glance:
- Powerbank for powering your telescope on the go
- Large capacity of 154 Wh (="48k", 13 Ah @12V) / 307 Wh (="96k", 26 Ah @12V).
- Lithium-iron-phosphate battery - lighter and more robust than traditional lead-acid batteries.
- 12V cigarette lighter socket (max. 10A)
- 3 USB ports (output 5V)
- Mains adapter for powerbank charging
Our expert comment:
- The voltage range of the cigarette lighter socket is 10-13.8 V and is not regulated by the battery management system. The voltage decreases as the battery charge decreases.
- Even if all four LEDs are already lit during charging, the power bank may still need a little more time to reach 100% charge.
