Fine optics, and it feels well built.
Central adjustment light and smooth, ocular adjustment sturdy as it should be, but not too sturdy. The twist-up eye cups (3 stages) have a nice distinct "click" to it and feel solid. I have the bin´s for only a few days, so I can´t tell how they will stay in time.
There are (little) better and (much) more expensive bin´s of course, but these will fill the need of many, at a fair price.
Excellent!

Omegon Talron HD 10x34
During the last few years I was constantly searching for a small, handy binoculars with good image quality and with reasonalble price. When I saw the big price drop regarding Omegon binos at Astroshop webshop in 2017 April, I said to myself, let's try it. Frankly saying, this amount spent on optics seems the best spent money in my life on cheap binoculars.
Nowadays there is a plenty different brand with almost infinity offers regarding 8x42 and 10x42 roof prism binoculars. Other magnifications/objective diameter versions are much harder to find amongst cheap brand offer. Good example is Omegon Talron series, where 8x and 10x 34 HD is available.
I had bad experience with Pentax or Steiner 10x25 and 8x26 binoculars, regarding the loss of light throughout optical parts and image quality, so definitely I was searching something on the 32-34 mm front lens diameter binos market. Seems, that nowadays, with the new industrial technologies and precise manufacturing, making good image quality is not any more just for alpha-bino price level devices. Around 300-400 EUR, you can get very well balanced, precise, clear optics by good brands, and now, even lower price, there is good example of nice optics, like this Omegon HD.
I have quite bad miopy, so please take into account that my eyesight is not a perfect brenchmark to evaulate any optical device, but maybe you can find interesting parts in my evaulation.
The housing of this Omegon bino is small, but very handy, and because of the open bridge design, it is easy to keep steady and firmly with all the fingers. It is important because the relatively small FoV (6 degree) comes with 10x magnification and you need the keep firm the optics to see thing well.
The objective diameter is really 34 mm, and the oculars give the light to you eyes through 20 mm wide lenses, so easy to look through the device. The eye relief is 16 mm, this is the low-end eyerelief still applicable to my mole-like eyesight, but I can see the full extent of the FoV. The barrels move easily but you need to move them with certain power, so after a proper alignment, those will rest in position. The focus knob is huge, almost the diameter of the oculars on the outer side, that means an easy, handy focusing. The rugged aluminium surface of the focus knob is good to touch and helps the turns. The diopter correction on the right ocular side is very effective, moves just with considerable power, but rest in position after a fine tuning that needs patience and time. The eyecup system is excellent, with three twist, metal frame, nice firm plastic cover; I would have the same on my Swift Audubon ED…
The inner side of both tubes are clear, no debris or fringerpinst on lenses or prisms, nice surprise and good point!
And the image quality, for last. For me, it was a big surprise, that the slogan HD is coming through. The image is clear, crisp, light. The paperbox information states that light transmission is 85%; for me is quite reasonable. Any loss of light is detectable during long observation period amongst very clear and whitish circumstances only (big clouds, very strong sunlight); in a woodland or garden it is impossible to see. Many tester friends said the the view is very light. I see very low chromatic aberration int he middle, and moderate at the edge of the FoV. Seems, that the image colour is little bit blueish-purpleish, like an old Kowa scope. Greens and yellows come through without any bias. The sweet spot is huge, and yes, there is some distortion effect on the edges, but myself I never check objects or birds on the edge of field, only in the middle of the image :-).
So I would like to recommend with all my hearth this small bino on this incredible price. Not a bad thing! And yes, not a 5 star instrument, because five star comes just for alphas :-).
