Omegon Super Ploessl eyepieces offer a new variation on a classic design, ideal for an easy introduction to the hobby of astronomy.
Solid quality
Super Ploessl eyepieces offer observers solid quality: The four lens design provides an image that, compared to simpler designs, is free of colour aberration. The 55° apparent field of view is somewhat wider than with conventional, unmodified, super Ploessl eyepieces. Every glass/air interface is fully multi-coated to suppress reflections, giving a large boost in contrast.
The eyepieces are available in focal lengths of 20mm, 17mm, 12.5mm, 6mm and 4mm, and have eye reliefs of between 12mm (for the 20mm focal length) and 2.4mm (for the 4mm focal length).
High quality workmanship
The body of the eyepieces is manufactured entirely from solid aluminium with accurately fitting 1.25” barrels. Each eyepiece has an interior thread for screwing in 1.25 inch filters. A fold-out out rubber eyecup provides protection from lateral stray light.
